DEMOCRATIC ALZHEIMER

DEMOCRATIC ALZHEIMER
We all live in a Democratic country, what do you say guys? Personally, I have read, listened, tasted, and even smelt the democracy of our 62-year-old grumpy country. Believe me, its good. Not only good, but also commendable. Generally, we Indians have an uncanny quality of comparing ourselves with the underprivileged ones, in whatsoever conditions we are in, and feel a sense of great pride in it. After all we are taught like this from our childhood days. Still I remember those primary school teachings, which I am sure most of us have been taught so. Like, ‘always compare with the inferior ones when you are in misery’, ‘participation is more important than winning’, etc. Sounds very good.
Now when this teaching is prevalent in Athletics, Music or I should say in any kind of competitive affairs, why not in politics? After all it’s the most fiercely fought sport of our country?
We have some wonderful teams, a couple of in the national domain and quite a few PRIVATE ONES in the state level. They all are terrific, having respective expertise in their DOMAIN. Their ultimate aim is to fight for the development of this country, and run it on the principles of our constitution. Now this is a very big writing, and not everyone’s cup of tea to read it completely. So I don’t complain much, when these old players sometimes deviate from it. It’s not so easy to remember it, and play this game always.
Its 20-20 time, you need to be DYNAMIC and frame on the ground strategies.
So when in the ‘SUMMER CAMP’ oops sorry!! I mean in the ‘BRAIN STORMIG CAMP’ of BJP the heads of the party decided to ask Mr. Singh to quit the party, I was not very astonished like the big hue and cry happening around. ‘Arre baba’ why so ‘hulla’, may be they forgot the page where DEMOCRACY was written. It might also happen, that the page have been tear off; after all it’s a pretty old almost 60 year old writing. And above that, the process of his outcast was pretty democratic, unlike Iran or Afghanistan.
I would blame Mr. Singh also, what was the need to play with such an old topic, he could have written about so many new happenings. Its 20-20 time Mr. Singh, not a test match. After playing in so many important positions, like Defense, Foreign Affairs, Finance, I don’t understand how he can make such a lopsided effort, strange. But once he left the team, the way he pounced upon ‘ADVANIji’ is commendable. The true soldier came out from the lieutenant colonel!!
The whole affairs in the practice session of Shimla, made one bold statement, that’s sure. Our democracy is in safe hands, the only thing we need, is to be little more patient and remember that primary teaching of ours, ‘Compare with the inferior one, when you are in a crisis’ you will see how good you feel. At least I am feeling pretty good.

Bruised Ricky Ponting

BRUISED RICKY PONTING

When Swann spin the ball to knock out Mr. Cricket [Michael Hussey], a dejected Ricky Ponting took the longest walk of his life to a cricket ground, to shake hands with the English cricketers. A bruised Ricky Ponting was telling the whole story of the series, which the two team is playing for since 1882.
In 1882 when the two played it for the first time, no one even imagined that this would become one of the most fiercely battled Cricketing legacies for the subsequent centuries.
But in the last decade the fierce rivalry was quite docile and Australia overpowered England most of the time, during their roller coaster period. A stoic tactician like Steve Waugh at the helm of the affairs and some finest cricketer this world has ever seen, in team most teams were a cakewalk for them, except some personal brilliance and up to an extent India as a team they whistled away most of their oppositions.
Such was the invincible aura of the team, we almost forgot that Australia could also loose. We were so used to the brilliance of McGrath, Warnie, Gilly, Ponting and the Waugh brothers in an Ashes that almost a brigade of English cricketer were left unnoticed in the last decade especially in an Ashes, except a few. Among the few noticed, Freddie Flintoff, was one. And when he announced the world about his retirement in the current Ashes, very few people knew that once the pin up boy of English cricket will once again leave his stamp of authority in this series like the 2005 one, and motivate the dressing room to outplay Ponting lead Australia to rope in the series 2-1.
This time the English gelled under Andrew Strauss pretty well, and played as a team. The way youngsters came into the party, especially Broad who bowled a series deciding spell in the final test, Trott the debutant who made a century on debut that also in a series deciding Ashes Final is praiseworthy. Veterans like Collingwood; Harmission played their role too. Australia have also a few positives to take home, like the form of Michael Clark, emergence of North, Siddle, Hilfenhaus into the big league.
Warne with his ball of the century, wrote the script for Australia’s dominance, may be its time for England to Swann into glory.

EPL WITHOUT CR7

EPL without CR7

Weekends will not be mundane any further, all those who were confused how to plan out their weekends at a time when even visiting the Cineplex are not a safe proposition courtesy Mr. H1N1 and its strong promotional team, EPL resumed from today….

The grounds are buzzing, teams are bubbling with energy.

This season will be a big test of nerve for all ManU lovers as well as the team management. Ronaldo ‘CR7’ will not command the flanks of Old Trafford anymore, once wonder boy of England Owen have taken the No. 7 mantle to prove all the critics wrong. All our hopes are pinned on Sir Alex the ‘old wily Scot’, king of strategic masterstrokes.
Though the transfer of CR7 and Kaka to Real Madrid, have once again turned the spotlight to La Liga this time. But I am pretty sure, that EPL will once again be able to come out the winner. We are waiting to see, who will come out the showstopper this year. But we will miss CR7.
